Mein tolles Blog

Here's an idea; Tumblr consists of two kind of blogs. 'Personals' where people mainly reblog things relevant to their interests. And blogs with a set goal e.g. promote Penguin Books Plc.
The former is something we didn't set out to do, and we'd rather stick to our original aim in having a blog, which was to make our life seem interesting and then let the internet know that.
I'm gonna stick to that here, and leave the thing that blogs actually become, to the other blog.

This blog is that.
The blog where I rebagel things relevent to my interests is here;

Blog; (n.) where the crazy fucker above will talk about science, philosophy, maths, saving the planet, books, nerdfightaria, what I learn, what I write (yeah, free walls of text), psychology, languages, tea, and make jokes to satisfy his urge for the approval of others. Perhaps not in that order.

Andrew, 15, UK; I'm always here to talk if you need help.
Born: 3rd September, 1752.

According to my dentist, I have nice, long roots. Good sturdy things. Such long roots. They are so long. They run into the ground. They collect water from the soil which I use for photosynthesis. I am a tree. Why do I have a dentist?

Thoughts on New Years

Y’know what I like?

How time and mortality are so scary to humans, and yet every set amount of time we gather around in the dark of night, around fire, and sing songs about  friendship, and nostalgia, and all promise to be better people until the next time.

Y’know what the lyrics to Auld Lang Syne mean?
"Should auld aquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?"

Should old friends be forgotten, and never brought to mind?

 ”We twa hae run about the braes,
and pu’d the gowans fine ;
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit,
sin auld lang syne.”We both have run around the hills, and well picked the dasiesbut we’ve wandered many a weary foot, since times long gone by. ”And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !
and gie’s a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll tak a right gude-willy waught,
for [the sake o’] auld lang syne.”And there’s a hand my trusty friend, and give us a hand of yours, and we’ll pour a draught (of beer) of good will,for the sake of times long by.

Guess who’s listening to Welcome to Nightvale?

A brief summary of the new SQA National 5 Exams;

  • A harder course
  • Worth the same as the previous course
  • Taught in half the time
  • And won’t be useful as a qualification until years after I apply to university or a job and the news has slowly seeped through to employers

It says something about the English language that there’s different times and situations to use ‘cannot’ and ‘can not’.

Human, alas, all too human. Nietzsche

My mother just called me downstairs to ask if I heard an ice-cream van.

It’s winter, we live in a village in Northern Scotland, it’s 18:25 in the evening and pitch black outside.
